Wrinkles and age spots are normal skin conditions that occur as a person ages. These are natural processes. Nevertheless, some

elderly people can develop skin disorders that give rise to serious medical problems. Older skin is less oily, less elastic, and

thinner. It bruises easily and can take a long time to heal when cut. This means that older people will need to give their skin

more care than when they were younger.

Herbal Aids:

Poke Root: Poke root is excellent for all skin problems...Both the root and the tender leaves make an excellent spring tonic, and

the tender leaves may be used as greens for the dinner table (boiled in two waters). Poke root has a slow, but persistently

powerful action. [SNH p.59] More on Poke Root: The skin is an indicator of toxicity in the body. Poke is a good herbal aid for skin

problems. It is also good for "the itch" in cases of scabies.

Cleansing Skin Care

Cleansing the face seems like such a simple thing, doesn't it? But it's normal to have questions about proper skin cleansing, especially if you are prone to acne breakouts. Get answers to some of the most common questions about cleansing the skin.

Green Tea Cleansing Skin Care Products Use Natural But Effective Ingredients

Green tea cleansing skin care products are formulated to cleanse and protect the skin. These green tea cleansing skin care products are also used to provide a vibrant look to the skin. The substances in these cleansing products remove the dirt from the skin as effectively as the other products on the market. The green tea that is used in these products has antioxidants that protect the skin throughout the day and night. The green tea cleansing skin care products use other substances including aloe and jojoba which moisturize the skin.

For the face, any type of soap works fine to remove dirt, but may not work as well to remove make-up. Instead, choose a facial cleansing agent in cream, water-based emulsion, lotion, or gel form that's formulated for your particular skin type. There are many different products on the market so you may want to try a few brands before you settle down on one that works best for you. Those with drier skin may want to choose cream or lotion products; those with oilier skin may want to use gel or water-based products. Those prone to breakouts may wish to use medicated soaps or lotions designed to reduce breakouts.

Cleansing skin care includes face washing with warm water to open pores and loosen deep-seated dirt. Extreme water temperatures may result to broken capillaries and cause your sebaceous gland to produce more oil. Also, in cleansing skin care, put a small amount of cleanser on your palm and apply on face in a circular motion. Then, rinse off with warm water and finally with cool water. Cool splashes close your pores down so as not to invite unwanted particles in.

Tips for Cleansing Skin Care:

Cleansing Skin Care for Normal Skin:

If you have normal skin, you would need to cleanse it at least twice a day with warm water. Normal skin is also the kind to give you least number of skin problems. Here’s what you can do for cleansing skin care for normal skin- use rose water in the morning hours on your skin, this would help to refresh it. Use a light cream after this to gently moisturize it without your skin appearing too greasy. When you go to bed you can use a mild soap to wash off the dirt and grime. Use some light cleansing skin cream and massage it gently into the face. Dampen a bit of cotton and use this gently over your face to get rid of any dirt that tends to block the pores. You can even opt for a mild toner during the day to keep the pores tight and add a natural glow to your skin.

Cleansing Skin Care for Dry Skin:

You need to be careful with dry skin as it tends to be flaky and also tends to be somewhat delicate at times. Use only light creams for dry skin, as these should not remove any natural oil while cleansing. Dry skin needs to retain the natural moisture. Use a light-exfoliating product that will remove the dry flakes to reveal healthy and glowing skin. Always massage gently into the skin especially around the eyes.
